Term of protection

Registration of a trademark shall be effective within ten years from the application filing date.

Duration of the registration of a trademark may be extended upon the proprietor’s application filed within the last year of its effect, every time for ten years.

Upon the proprietor’s petition for extension of duration of the registration of the trademark, it/he/she may be granted a six months’ period upon expiry of the registration on condition of the patent fee payment.
