International protection

Prior to filing an application for an invention in foreign countries, an applicant shall file such application in the Republic of Belarus and inform the National Center of Intellectual Property of the intention to patent the invention in foreign countries.

Eurasian and international application for an invention filed in compliance with the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) shall be filed to the National Center of Intellectual Property, if at least one of the applicants has domicile or principal place of business in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
