International protection

Prior to filing an industrial model application in foreign countries, the applicant must submit the application in Belarus and  inform the national patent office about his/her/its intention to patent the industrial model in foreign countries.

If no prohibition is issued within three months from the date of application filing, the application may be filed in foreign countries.
